Tuition Options and Fees

Regular weekly tuition follows local school term dates and runs during term time only.

Evening and daytime slots available

Additional revision sessions may be offered during school holidays, either one-to-one or in small groups, depending on need and availability. These are arranged and charged separately from regular term-time tuition.

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and maintain safeguarding standards appropriate for working with young people. In-person sessions take place in a dedicated workspace within my home, providing a quiet, welcoming and professional environment for focused study.

For online sessions, including daytime tuition, communication and arrangements are agreed directly with parents or guardians so that expectations are clear from the outset.

1:1 GCSE Tuition

£55 per hour | Fixed half-term booking

Weekly one-to-one sessions provide tailored, consistent support in GCSE English Language and Literature.

Each student begins with a diagnostic session, so tuition starts with a clear picture of strengths, gaps and priorities. From there, sessions are planned around the individual, with regular written feedback to support visible progress over time.

Teaching focuses on the skills that make the greatest difference in English: clear argument, secure structure, thoughtful analysis and confident writing under timed conditions.

Sessions are available in person or online. I also offer daytime online tuition for home-educated students who would benefit from structured, individual support during the school day.

This works particularly well for students who are willing to engage regularly with written practice and act on feedback between sessions.

GCSE Small-Group - Building Understanding and Exam Skills

Maximum 4 students | £25 per student | Term-time programme

These small-group sessions are designed for students who benefit from structured discussion, shared learning and focused exam practice.

Teaching is organised around current assessment objectives, with particular attention to analytical writing, planning, timing and response control.

Groups are kept small so that every student is known, supported and challenged. Written work still receives individual feedback, and sessions remain calm, purposeful and well-paced.

Small-group sessions run with a minimum of three students.
