Terms and Conditions

1. Fees and payment

Individual tuition is charged at £55 per hour. Small-group sessions are charged at £25 per student.

Weekly tuition is booked on a fixed half-term basis, following local school term dates. Once a place is confirmed, that weekly slot is reserved for your child for the full half term.

Fees for each half term are invoiced in advance and are payable by the date stated on the invoice, before the new half term begins.

Once a half term has started, the full half-term fee remains payable, as the weekly slot has been reserved.

2. Term dates

Regular weekly tuition follows local school term dates and takes place during term time.

During school holidays, I may also offer additional revision sessions tailored to individual students or small groups. These are booked separately, subject to availability, and are charged in addition to regular term-time tuition.

3. Cancellations by families

At least 24 hours’ notice is requested if your child is unable to attend a session.

Sessions missed without sufficient notice are charged in full and cannot usually be rearranged.

Where sufficient notice is given, and where availability allows, an alternative session may be offered within the same half term, but this cannot be guaranteed.

4. Tutor cancellations

If I need to cancel a session because of illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will offer either an alternative session or a refund for the missed lesson.

5. Ending tuition

If you wish to stop tuition, please let me know before the start of the next half term.

Once a half term has begun, the full half-term fee remains payable, as the weekly slot has been reserved for your child.

6. Small-group sessions

Small-group sessions run with a minimum of three students. If numbers fall below this, I will contact families to discuss the available options, which may include a revised fee, a shorter session, or transfer to individual tuition.

7. Student conduct

Students are expected to arrive on time, engage respectfully, and complete any agreed work between sessions.

I aim to maintain a focused, calm and considerate working environment at all times. If a student’s behaviour makes it difficult for teaching to continue safely or productively, I reserve the right to end the session and review whether the arrangement remains suitable.

8. Arrival and collection

Parents and carers remain responsible for students before and after in-person sessions and for ensuring prompt arrival and collection.

If a student arrives late, the session will still end at the agreed time.
