Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking. By confirming a place, you are agreeing to the following conditions.

1. Fees and Payment.

  • 1:1 Tuition: Charged at £55 per hour. Invoiced half-termly in advance (or weekly by prior arrangement).

  • After-School GCSE Masterclasses: Charged at £35 per hour, booked and paid upfront as a 6-week half-term block (£210 total).

  • Daytime Home-Ed Cohorts: Charged at £25 per hour, booked and paid upfront as a 6-week half-term block (£150 total).

  • Once a place is confirmed, your child has a regular weekly slot, reserved for them. You may make a weekly payment by bank transfer before the session takes place or pay for several sessions in advance.

Your child’s slot may be changed if payment is not received or is regularly cancelled, although this will be discussed before this happens.

Included Resources & App Access

All active 1:1 and group students receive full, complimentary access to session workbooks, revision packs, and the Lit Pro Revision App for the duration of their enrollment.

.2. Term Dates

Regular weekly tuition follows local school term dates and takes place during term time only.

During school holidays, additional revision sessions may be offered for individual students or small groups. These are booked and charged separately, subject to availability.

3. Missed Sessions & Cancellations

  • Group Cohort Places (Daytime & Evening): Because group places are strictly capped at 4–5 students to maintain group quality, individual missed group sessions are non-refundable. If a student cannot attend a live session, they will receive full access to the live recording, slide deck, worked exemplars, and weekly session resources.

  • 1:1 Individual Sessions: Require at least 24 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full session rate.

‍ ‍4. Tutor Cancellations

If I need to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will offer either an alternative session within the same half term or a refund for the missed lesson. I will give as much notice as possible in these circumstances.

5. Ending Tuition

If you are paying weekly, please let me know by the end of the preceding week, and there is nothing further to pay.

If you have paid for a half term in advance, please give notice before the start of the next half term. Fees for a half term already begun are not refundable, as the weekly slot has been reserved exclusively for your child.

6. Small-Group Sessions

Group sessions require a minimum of three students to run. If numbers fall below this minimum, I will contact all families promptly to discuss the available options, which may include a revised fee, a shorter session or a transfer to individual tuition. This minimum does not apply to paired sessions between two students, which are unaffected by group numbers.

7. Student Conduct

Students are expected to arrive on time, engage respectfully and complete any agreed work between sessions.

I aim to maintain a focused, calm and considerate working environment at all times. If a student's behaviour makes it difficult for teaching to continue safely or productively, I reserve the right to end the session and review whether the arrangement remains suitable. In such cases, the session fee remains payable.

8. Online Sessions

For online sessions, students are expected to join punctually using the agreed platform, in a quiet space with a stable internet connection. If a session cannot take place due to technical difficulties on the student's side, the session fee remains payable. If technical difficulties are on my side, an alternative session or refund will be offered.

9. Privacy and Communication

All communication regarding bookings, payments and student progress is conducted directly with parents or guardians.

If you have any questions about these terms before booking, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
